Alan A. Katz, M.D., FACEP, FAAEM
Dr. Katz is a residency-trained, double board-certified physician with experience as a physician and leader in the field of Emergency Medicine. His career in Emergency Medicine has ranged from regional director with a national Emergency Medicine contract management group, to faculty, director, and chairman positions with hospital-employed and small independent emergency physician groups. As a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Katz has also previously served as a Board Examiner for the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Katz is currently the Site Director at STAT Health Plainview in addition to serving as the Lead Physician for Quality Initiatives for the company.
When not working, Dr. Katz is usually fishing on the Long Island Sound or under his boat, scuba diving. In the winter, he enjoys skiing and travel to warm locations. He’s a regular at the gym and practices yoga several times a week. Dr. Katz and his wife of 28 years live on Long Island with their two amazing dogs, where they happily host visits from their three grown children.
